Yes! Our uncoated paper stock is ideal for writing. The uncoated surface allows ink or pencil to absorb cleanly, making it easy to write without smudging—unlike coated paper, which can resist ink or cause smears.

Uncoated stocks soak up more ink, causing colors to spread unevenly. This can cause less vibrant colors compared to coated stocks.
Unfortunately spot UV is not offered on uncoated stocks. Spot UV requires a smooth, coated surface to adhere properly and create the glossy effect which uncoated stocks don't provide. Uncoated paper is porous, meaning it absorbs liquids (like ink and coatings) rather than allowing them to sit on the surface. Even if applied, Spot UV on uncoated paper tends to flake, smudge, or wear off quickly because it doesn’t bond well with the rough, absorbent texture.
